Weather & what to pack

Packing for Acheron Springs depends largely on the season you plan to visit. Here's a general guide for each season:

Spring (March to May)

Light layers:
Temperatures can vary, so pack both warm clothes for cooler mornings and evenings, and lighter clothing for warmer afternoons.

Rain gear:
Spring can bring occasional showers, so a waterproof jacket or umbrella might come in handy.

Comfortable walking shoes:
You'll likely be exploring the beautiful surrounding area, so pack comfortable shoes for hiking or walking.

Swimwear:
While the water might still be a bit chilly, you might want to take advantage of any warmer days to enjoy a dip in the springs.

Sunscreen and hat:
The sun can still be strong in spring, especially as the season progresses towards summer.

Summer (June to August)

Lightweight clothing:
Summers in Greece can get hot, so pack breathable fabrics like cotton or linen.

Sun protection:
Don't forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat to shield yourself from the strong sun.

Swimwear:
A must-pack for cooling off in the springs or nearby beaches.

Hiking gear:
If you plan to explore the surrounding nature trails, sturdy hiking shoes, a daypack, and plenty of water are essential.

Casual evening wear:
Lightweight, comfortable clothing for evenings out or dining al fresco.

Autumn (September to November)

Layered clothing:
Similar to spring, pack layers to accommodate fluctuating temperatures.

Rain gear:
Autumn can bring occasional showers, so a waterproof jacket or umbrella is handy.

Comfortable shoes:
Whether you're exploring the springs or nearby hiking trails, comfortable footwear is a must.

Camera:
Autumn brings stunning foliage, so don't forget your camera to capture the picturesque scenery.

Warm accessories:
As temperatures cool down, consider bringing a lightweight scarf or sweater for chilly evenings.
